VetClaims.ai review: $1,250 flat, or $1,500 on the plan
A published flat fee that never touches back pay, read against a payment plan that costs 20% more and a performance guarantee the plan is not eligible for.

VeteranAI is our product, so this review is not neutral. Every fact on the page links to the document it came from and the date we read it. Judge the sources, not us.
VetClaims.ai publishes its price, and the argument it makes for doing so is the same one this whole index is built on: "Most companies in this space take a cut of your back pay or a multiple of your rating increase, so the number depends on what the VA gives you and nobody can tell you what it is up front. We set our fee before we ever look at your file, so it stays the same whatever the VA decides." The fee is $1,250 for the whole claim regardless of how many conditions your records support, with no share of back pay and no charge tied to your rating. That is a materially better structure than the six-times and five-times models elsewhere in this category, and it should be said plainly.
The Terms of Service add a second price the pricing page does not. The Complete Care Payment Plan charges "$500.00 until the total Plan amount of $1,500.00 has been collected" — $250 more than paying once, a premium of 20%, on a page whose headline says "No monthly billing". The two prices diverge again in the guarantee: the Performance Guarantee, which refunds $1,250 plus a further $500 if your combined rating does not rise by at least 10%, is marked "(PIF Only)", and the terms state that "Plan Users are NOT eligible for the Performance Guarantee." The veteran who could not pay $1,250 at once pays more and is covered by less.
On accreditation the company is as direct as anyone in this index: "Nobody on our team is an accredited attorney, agent, or VSO representative, and we don't prepare, present, or prosecute claims on your behalf. We build the documentation and you file it under your own name. Accredited representation is free and you can find it through the VA accreditation directory." Its own FAQ goes further and tells you when not to buy: "If your records are already complete and your file is simple, filing with a VSO is a reasonable path and we'll say so on the call."
One disclosure this page owes you more than most: VetClaims.ai is the closest company in this index to what we do. Read the sources rather than us.

The short version
The published fee is $1,250, flat, for the whole claim: "The fee covers your file no matter how many conditions your records support, so a veteran filing for three and a veteran filing for eight pay the same."
Source: VetClaims.ai — Pricing · Verified Sep 4, 2026It takes no share of your benefits: "No percentage of back pay · No monthly billing · No charge tied to your rating · No surcharge for extra conditions."
Source: VetClaims.ai — Pricing · Verified Sep 4, 2026The Terms of Service set a second price. The Complete Care Payment Plan bills "$500.00 until the total Plan amount of $1,500.00 has been collected" — 20% more than paying once, billed monthly.
Source: VetClaims.ai — Terms of Service · Verified Sep 4, 2026The Performance Guarantee refunds $1,250 plus a further $500 if your combined rating does not rise by at least 10% — but it is "(PIF Only)", and "Plan Users are NOT eligible for the Performance Guarantee."
Source: VetClaims.ai — Terms of Service · Verified Sep 4, 2026The refund window is short and closes on an event rather than a date: refunds need a request within 14 days AND before the Complete Care Call, and "once your Complete Care Call has been completed, all fees are non-refundable except as expressly provided above."

What VetClaims.ai actually is
BBB reports: VetClaims.ai is a Pflugerville, Texas business that BBB records as started 1 September 2024 and incorporated 9 September 2024 — two years old — BBB accredited since April 2025 and rated A.
Source: Better Business Bureau — VetClaims.ai profile (Pflugerville, TX) · Verified Sep 4, 2026The operating entity is PatriotClaims LLC: "VetClaims.ai and PatriotClaims are trademarks of PatriotClaims LLC." Source: VetClaims.ai — About · Verified Sep 4, 2026The product is evidence development before filing, not representation: two one-to-one sessions (a claim strategy interview and a service and medical history review), then secondary and anchor condition mapping under 38 CFR 3.310, a nexus letter package, buddy statement preparation, C&P exam preparation and a named point of contact.
Source: VetClaims.ai — Pricing · Verified Sep 4, 2026The company's stated turnaround is "14 days To file ready From first call to a completed package", and it claims "43K+ Veterans guided" — a count of claim plans built, not of outcomes.

What it costs, from the documents
Two prices for one product, both the company's own — one on the pricing page and one in the terms. The premium below is our arithmetic on those two figures, which neither document does for you.

The plan against paying once: $1,500 − $1,250 = $250, a premium of 250 ÷ 1,250 = 20% for spreading the cost over two extra months.
Source: VetClaims.ai — Terms of Service · Verified Sep 4, 2026The gap is wider than 20% in practice, because the Performance Guarantee is PIF-only. A paid-in-full veteran whose rating does not move by 10% may recover $1,250 + $500 = $1,750; a plan veteran in the same position recovers nothing under that guarantee, having paid $250 more.
Source: VetClaims.ai — Terms of Service · Verified Sep 4, 2026Compared inside its own category: on a $500 monthly increase, a six-times fee is $3,000 and a five-times fee is $2,500, against $1,250 flat here. The flat fee is the cheaper structure at every award size above roughly a $210 monthly increase, and it does not grow with your award at all.
Source: VetClaims.ai — Pricing · Verified Sep 4, 2026The condition count genuinely does not change the price: "a veteran filing for three and a veteran filing for eight pay the same." Per-document vendors in the medical evidence category charge again for each additional letter.

- Dec 16, 2025Civil suit filed
Turbovets Incorporated v. Patriot Claims LLC, D. Ariz., 2:26-cv-04733 as listed (docket number 2:25-cv-04733), filed 16 December 2025, nature of suit 840 — trademark. The company's About page states that "VetClaims.ai and PatriotClaims are trademarks of PatriotClaims LLC", but the docket spells the party "Patriot Claims LLC" with a space and we could not confirm from the free record that it is the same entity. We did not read the complaint. A filed suit is one party's allegations until a court rules, and a trademark dispute between businesses says nothing about how veterans are treated.

A VA warning letter is a notice, not a court judgment. Class certification means a court let a case proceed as a group; it is not a finding on any allegation. A filed civil suit is one party's allegations and nothing more until a court rules on them. A partial summary judgment is a court's ruling on one question, on facts neither side disputes; it decides that question and leaves the rest of the case, including any remedy, open. A Chapter 11 filing is a reorganization, not proof that a service was unlawful. An agreed judgment is a final court order on terms both sides accepted. A company's win is listed here the same way as a loss.

Who it fits, and who should choose another route
- You want the price before the call and you want it not to move with your award. $1,250 flat, no percentage, no multiple of your increase — the best fee structure of any consultant in this index.
- You are claiming several conditions. The fee does not rise with the condition count, where per-document vendors charge again for each letter.
- You can pay in full. Paying once costs $250 less and is the only route to the Performance Guarantee.
- You want a company that tells you when not to buy. Its FAQ says so directly: if your records are complete and your file is simple, a VSO is a reasonable path.
- You would need the payment plan. It costs 20% more and is excluded from the Performance Guarantee — the two disadvantages fall on the veteran least able to absorb them.
- You may want to change your mind. The refund window closes at 14 days or at your Complete Care Call, whichever comes first, and the call is scheduled by them.
- You may need to dispute a charge. A chargeback is listed as a guarantee exclusion.
- You need certainty about your medical records. Ask about the Business Associate Agreement before uploading anything, because the policy advises against uploading PHI without one.
- You want someone to represent you. The company says itself that nobody there is accredited; an accredited VSO does that for $0, and its own FAQ points you there.

10 questions to ask before paying
- Am I signing up as a paid-in-full user or a plan user, and what does each cost in total?
- If I take the plan, confirm in writing that I am not eligible for the Performance Guarantee.
- When exactly is my Complete Care Call? That is the moment my refund window closes.
- Send me the Performance Guarantee's "written disclosures, elections, acknowledgments, or waivers" before I pay, not after.
- Your page says 14 days to file-ready; your guarantee says 30 business days. Which is the commitment?
- Who signs the nexus letter in the nexus letter package, and what are their credentials?
- Will you give me a Business Associate Agreement? Your privacy policy advises me not to upload PHI without one, and you are asking for my medical records.
- If I dispute a charge with my bank, what happens to my guarantee and my access?
- BBB shows 35 complaints in twelve months. What are they about and what changed?
- Have you told me, unprompted, that an accredited VSO will file and appeal my claim for $0?
Where this leaves you
This is the company in this index closest to what we do, so weigh what follows accordingly and read the sources. On the two things this whole comparison exists to test, VetClaims.ai does well: it publishes its price before you call, and that price is flat — no share of back pay, no multiple of your increase, no surcharge per condition. Its accreditation disclaimer is among the clearest we read anywhere, and its own FAQ tells you to use a free VSO when your file is simple. Very little of this category does either.
The gap is between the two documents. The pricing page says $1,250 paid one time with "No monthly billing"; the terms set a $1,500 plan billed every thirty days and exclude plan users from the Performance Guarantee entirely. So the veteran who cannot find $1,250 today pays $250 more and gives up a guarantee worth $1,750 — and learns that only by reading the terms. Add a refund window that closes at a call the company schedules, and the questions above are the ones to get answered in writing first.
Price the free path before either: an accredited VSO will file, argue and appeal for $0, which this company's own FAQ points you to. And what we sell is a different shape — software you run yourself on your own records, at a published subscription: Pro is $25/month or $250/year. Max 3× is $49/month or $499/year. Max 5× is $99/month or $999/year. No percentage of back pay, cancel any time, and the same price whether the claim is granted or denied.

- We did not confirm that the "Patriot Claims LLC" named in the Arizona trademark docket is the PatriotClaims LLC that operates this brand, and we did not read the complaint.
- We did not read the individual BBB complaints and make no claim about what they allege.
- VetClaims.ai is the nearest competitor to VeteranAI in this index. We have applied the same sourcing rule as every other page, but a reader should weight our judgement here lower than our citations.
