- **Whether systemic therapy is needed** — such as corticosteroids, phototherapy, retinoids, biologics, photochemotherapy, PUVA, or other immunosuppressive drugs — and how frequently it is required (for example, constant or near-constant use points toward the 60% level).
- **Whether only topical therapy has been needed** — the 0% level reflects situations where no more than topical therapy was required over the past 12-month period.
