## What This Condition Is

Neuritis is a nerve condition listed under **Diagnostic Code 8629** within the VA's schedule for **Neurological Conditions and Convulsive Disorders** (§ 4.124a).

Neuritis is not rated on its own separate scale. Instead, the VA rates it **by analogy to Paralysis of the nerve covered under Diagnostic Code 8529.** This means your neuritis is evaluated using the same framework the VA applies to paralysis of that nerve.
