### What Is Neuritis?

Neuritis is a nerve condition rated under the VA's schedule for neurological disorders. Because it does not have its own standalone criteria, the VA rates neuritis **by analogy to Paralysis of the anterior tibial nerve (Diagnostic Code 8523)**. This means the VA looks at how the condition affects nerve function and assigns a rating using the paralysis framework.

### Available Rating Levels

Under Diagnostic Code 8623, neuritis is rated at the following levels:
